Configuring

Configuring Juke is easy. You have the ability to name your zones (e.g. name Zone1 “Kitchen”), adjust relative zone volumes, and change the names and types of your audio sources (e.g. to Airplay, Spotify Connect, or USB).

Just follow these steps.

  1. Once you’ve accessed the Juke web app via “Juke.local” in Safari on an Apple product or typed in the assigned IP address as a website URL on an Android or PC, then hit the administrator settings button.

2. Enter Admin as the password (the ‘A’ is uppercase, and the ‘dmin’ is lower case) as shown below and click LOG IN

3. To keep it simple, the password is always Admin and it doesn’t change. Once you’ve entered the password, you will see the ADMINISTRATOR SETTINGS screen.

Saving Shortcuts
Juke is controlled using a web interface and no app is required. You can access Juke’s interface by entering its IP address. However, to make things easy, you can create shortcuts. The following describes how to do this on Apple products. A similar approach can be used on Android and other devices, but you will need to reserve an IP address for Juke in your router’s network setup.

  1. Type juke.local into Safari.
  2. Click on the Sharing icon in the lower middle.
  3. Swipe until you find “Add to Home Screen” and click it.
  4. Type Juke and click Add in the top right.

Now a JUKE icon will appear on your home screen!

Edit Zone Names

When Juke is first installed, the zones are numbered. You will want to give them names that you recognize (e.g. kitchen, deck, master bedroom, etc.).

In the blue boxes on the right, enter the names for the zones, and click Submit.

Adjust Zone Volumes

editting zone volumesWhile using Juke, you typically control the volume with your device the way you normally do (e.g. by using the volume buttons on your phone). However, you may want to adjust the relative volumes of the zones. Usually this is only done when Juke is installed, although some users may sometimes want to adjust this thereafter. Just drag the sliders to the desired levels and click Submit.

Edit Inputs

adjusting inputsJuke supports 4 simultaneous audio inputs. By default, each is set to Airplay and they will appear as Juke-A, Juke-B, Juke-C, and Juke-D. However, you can rename them to anything of your choosing, or adjust them from Airplay sources to be either Spotify Connect, USB device, DLNA or Airplay 2 for one of the four.

Note: Having 4  available inputs has two key benefits. The first is that it allows multiple devices to stream different audio to different rooms simultaneously. The second is that users can leave different zone combinations turned on in perpetuity so the user can simply begin playing directly from their streaming apps (Apple Music, Pandora, Youtube, etc.) without needing to use the Juke page.

System Information

The SYSTEM INFORMATION screen shows information about Juke, such as its firmware version, Mac address and IP address. The screen looks like this.
